Preferred Partners and Mortgage Partners

Sunday, July 1, 2007 - By: Brian D

Did you know that you can feature business affiliates whom you trust and would recommend to others on your AgentAdvantage site?  At the bottom of each of your site’s pages, Preferred Partners points the way to these valuable business contacts.

Who would be a Preferred Partner?

A Preferred Partner may be another business such as a moving company, painters, handymen, landscapers, or interior decorators that your clients will find helpful during their relocation or sale.  If you do business with a mortgage broker, you may want to include them as Mortgage Partners (also featured in the Preferred Partners section).  Clients new to an area will find great utility in this as often they know nothing about the area to which they are relocating.

Why use Preferred Partners?

In addition to helping those relocating get a foothold in their new neighborhood, Preferred Partners can help you build business relationships.  By adding a trusted business to your website, that business owner will be more inclined to suggest your services to their own friends and customers.  More word-of-mouth advertising equals more leads!

Preferred Partners keeps visitors on your site longer by making it “sticky.” Sticky relates to your site’s ability to keep people on your site.  Good content beyond the first page keeps visitors reading on your site.  Most home buyers browsing agent websites do not resolve to purchase a home on the first visit!  The more time visitors spend on your site, the more likely they will return at a future date.

How to Add a Preferred Partner or Mortgage Partner

  1. In your AgentAdvantage Control Panel, click on Website Editor - Preferred Partners.
  2. A page titled “Edit Preferred Partners” appears.  Click the black Add button to add a new Partner.
  3. Add Partner information in the text boxes.  Please note that if you do not want to directly link to the partner’s site (and divert traffic away from your site!), do not enter a URL into the URL field.  If you do choose to enter a URL, be sure to add a complete URL containing the protocol (http://)
  4. Click either the Preferred Partner or Mortgage Center check box.
  5. Enter phone and fax numbers for the partner.
  6. Browse for an Ad Icon and Web Page Image on your computer.  The Ad Icon appears on the list of Preferred Partners, and the Web Page Image appears after the Partner has been clicked.
  7. Add Web Page Text.

Clicking on the partner listed will take you to the partner’s URL if you supplied it, or to a page containing their contact information.
